Lorde at Festival Hall.

Lorde. The insanely cool and incredible royal seventeen year old, possesses a voice that demands to be heard. If you haven't listened to it already, listen to her debut album Pure Heroine, you'll get addicted and have it on repeat
Listening to her lyrics you can only assume that she understands more about the world then the majority of adults in it, as her words simultaneously blend the wonderings of an old soul and the angst of a teenage girl.
Her stage presence is incredible as she jerks her body instinctively to the music, as if each sound possesses her. It is impossible to look away, she has an intensity that captures the whole audience’s attention. The stage itself translates the irony from her songs as its minimalism is simply crowned with a chandelier that hangs unobtrusively above, reflecting Lorde's haunting lyrics that claim we are only living in the ruins of our ultimate desires.
It is no wonder that she has had such a quick rise to fame, not only is she incredibly talented but she is distinctively unique and perhaps the ultimate voice for a generation lost between the expectations of life and their own realities.
Our generation.
